The previous experiences and jobs held by both Nick and Sarah have stood them in good stead when buying and selling antiques. The research skills, communication skills, contacts, willingness to work long hours and ability to organise have often been of great benefit and turned up many a great piece.
Over the years Browse-a-while Antiques & Collectables has grown. Since 2014 we have provided a bespoke Bereaved Estate Management Service which can incorporate Estate/Property Clearance Service with an initial FREE Site Visit and an initial FREE contents valuation and advice on dispersal. This has taken us to great places including large country homes, businesses, schools and family homes. It is normally in the everyday family home that we find the most surprising items. As a small example, we have found watches set aside for charity donations by the client which have sold for thousands of pounds in our auctions, a great bonus for the clients. Field microscopes destined for the dustbin which have realised hundreds of pounds for the client and historical military documents now deposited with museums instead of being burnt by the client.
Since 2017 we now hold Auctions of goods from clearances and clients. These currently are all timed and on line and normally held once a month. Our next period of growth will see us open a provincial auction house in the near future.
